Supply of Protection Relay Crates

Tender description

This Technical Description concerns the supply of an estimated quantity of 300 protection relay crates. These crates will be housing a protection relay, a test block, a LED synoptic, connectors, terminals and wiring between these components Lot 1: The Supply shall include the following technical deliverables and activities: • Design file: complete technical drawings and documents (wiring, layout, mechanical parts) • Prototyping: manufacturing and supply of one Protection Relay Crate for validation; • Series manufacturing; • Factory Tests of the Supply; • Test bench for the Supply; • Packing of the Supply; • Shipping to CERN, if so requested; • Training of (CERN) personnel for the test bench; • Corrective maintenance during the warranty period and corrective maintenance after the warranty period, including provision of spare parts. CERN will make available the following equipment and/or services: • PCB (Printed Circuit Board) for the synoptic LEDs; • Protection relays. The Supply shall comply with the following parameters and conditions: 1) The Crate shall be suitable for installation in a standard 19-inch rack. 2) The Crate shall have a maximum height of 6U. 3) Material: aluminium, stainless steel, or a similar material that does not rust or corrode. Plastic is not allowed. 4) The Crate shall have hinged front door to allow easy access inside the Crate from the front. 5) The frame of the Crate, and the door, shall be robust and designed to support the relay and additional equipment. 6) The Crate shall include all necessary connectors, wiring, auxiliary relays, PCBs and other necessary components assembled and tested.
