Supply of Micro-D Connectors and Cables

Tender description

This Technical Description concerns the supply of an approximate quantity of 1200 Micro-D PCB Connectors and matching 1200 Low-Smoke ZeroHalogen Wired Micro-D Connectors (cables) in a mix of 37-way and 51-way, plug and socket types. Lot 1: The Supply shall include the following technical deliverables and activities: • Pre-series and series manufacturing of Micro-D Connectors; • Pre-series and series assembly of Wired Micro-D Connectors; • Testing; • Packing of the Supply; • Shipping to CERN, if so requested; • Options. The Supply shall comply with the following parameters and conditions: • Micro-D PCB Connectors: 51-way plug, 51-way socket and 37-way plug; • Wired Micro-D Connectors: 51-way socket, 51-way plug and 37-way socket; all assembled with cables with the following requirements: o The cable and wires shall be LSZH (Low-Smoke Zero-Halogen); o The cables shall be 72-inch long; o The cables shall be made with twisted pair wires; o The other side of the cable shall not be assembled; o The cable shall have an overall shield; o The Micro-D connector shall have a metal backshell connecting the overall shield.
