North Northamptonshire Council (hereafter referred to as the “Council”) wishes to invite Tender Responses for the provision of Workplace Cardiovascular Health Checks following the securing of funding for the Workplace Cardiovascular Disease Health Checks Pilot Grant. <br /><br />The pilot will gather evidence on the feasibility and impact of Workplace Cardiovascular Health Checks. It will encourage employers to support people to stay well in work, by gathering and sharing learning on delivering Cardiovascular Health Checks in the Workplace.<br /><br />The Service will be procured via a mini competition from the North Northamptonshire Council – NHS Health Checks Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) and as such, this specification should be read in conjunction with the existing specification.<br /><br />The Workplace Cardiovascular Health Checks Pilot Grant offers advice on workplace premises to help prevent the onset of cardiovascular disease and help identify a risk of heart disease, strokes, kidney disease and diabetes. These workplace health checks will be given to eligible people who are aged between 25 and 84 years old, regardless of if or when they have already had an NHS Health Check in any past time period. It also supports individuals to manage and reduce behavioural risks and associated conditions through information and evidence-based risk reduction interventions.<br />
