NHS Lanarkshire’s Podiatry service provides triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and foot health education to patients with a lower limb condition or a condition throughout their body which affects the lower limb. The Podiatry service focuses on the needs of the individual to support and enable self-care where possible. The products which will be included within this Contract are also utilised by NHS Lanarkshire’s Orthotic service. Lot 1: NHS Lanarkshire’s Podiatry service provides triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and foot health education to patients with a lower limb condition or a condition throughout their body which affects the lower limb. The Podiatry service focuses on the needs of the individual to support and enable self-care where possible. The products which will be included within this Contract are also utilised by NHS Lanarkshire’s Orthotic service. NHSL wishes to partner with a single supplier to provide the required products under a consignment agreement. The aim of the Board is to consolidate usage across the services, reduce the overall spend on products and supply products which are best value for money. The Board is currently spending an average of GBP 66k per annum on podiatry consumables however wishes to significantly reduce the spend on these products, the successful supplier will be required to work with the service to monitor usage, consolidate usage and report on spend to assist the service in their aims.
