Tender description

Supply, Delivery, Installation & Commissioning of 3 items of DNA analysis equipment required by the School of Medicine.<br />Item 1) DNA capillary sequencer:<br />minimum 48 capillary instrument, fluorescent based and usable for high-throughput DNA sequencing and genotyping. Should<br />have a stackable reservoir for plates for automatic analysis and high throughput, and come with associated software for data<br />collection and analyses.<br />Item 2) DNA detector: a real-time PCR instrument with a suggested 384 well capacity, laser light source, fluorescent-readout and suitable for nucleic acid quantitation and SNP genotyping by 5' nuclease. Should also have specific high-throughput analysis software and microfluidic card capabilities.<br />Item 3) DNA pyrosequencer with automatic platform for Pyrosequencing reactions and data analysis. Should handle 96 well plates and be suitable for pyrosequencing genotyping and quantitative methylation studies, with specific data aquisition and analysis software.<br />Service contracts for an additional 4 years outside warranty period are also required.<br /><br />Further details are available in the tender documents.<br /><br />Closing date for return of Tenders is Monday 21st March 2005 by 5pm.<br /><br />PLEASE NOTE: There is an administration charge of £100.00 for the issue of Tender documents.
