Tender description

Tender for Confocal Microscopy Collaboration Facility required by the Department of Engineering Materials.<br /><br />project. A core item of equipment is required for the project, namely a laser scanning confocal microscope with META detection, or equivalent, to be located in the interdisciplinary Kroto Research Institute at the University. <br /><br />Funding to purchase the equipment has been awarded from the BBSRC Research Equipment Initiative (REI), suppliers should be aware that tender responses must demonstrate a collaborative contribution. We are now seeking offers of collaboration in terms of either contribution in equipment, discount on proposed equipment, or other forms of contribution. <br /><br />Further details, including the technical specification for the required confocal microscope, and details relating to the funding conditions, are provided within the tender documentation.<br /><br /><br />Closing date for return of tenders: Monday 19th June 2006 at 12 noon.<br /><br /><br />PLEASE NOTE: There is an administration charge of £100 for the issue of Tender documents. Suppliers who submit tender offers will be invoiced after the tender closing date.
