Worcestershire Community Rail Partnership Education provision

Tender description

Worcestershire Community Rail Partnership (WCRP) jointly manages an education scheme with four other Community Rail Partnerships (CRPs). The scheme is called Platform Rail Education and it delivers rail education free of charge to young people across five CRP areas including the Worcestershire area. WCRP want to fund additional resources in Worcestershire. Platform is a unique community rail education scheme, that works with schools to empower young people in accessing the railways. Education provision includes: free workshops, train-trips, and bespoke local resources, Platform helps teachers to build their students' knowledge of rail-safety, their understanding of sustainable and healthy travel, and their confidence in using trains. Platform supports schools in building cultural-capital with out-of-classroom experiences.
