West Midlands Fire Service Occupational Health (OH) Psychological & Counselling Service

Tender description

The Authority has a requirement to provide a comprehensive occupational mental health service for employees to help reduce sickness absence and promote wellbeing. This will include psychological treatment services for common mental health problems, PTSD etc., awareness and training in mental health and trauma and relevant supervision of mental health volunteers. Primarily this will be a confidential service with the aim of treating individuals who are experiencing mental health problems and advising Occupational Health (OH) on support strategies to aid their recovery. Requirement to include the provision of Face-to-face clinics and a Rapid Telephone referral service. This contract applies to all 1,900 employees of West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority. It is necessary for the Supplier to be supportive of the organisation’s aim to ‘reduce sickness absence’ and to demonstrate both improving and maintaining reduced levels of absence.
