Legal Services for Sizewell C

Tender description

Lot 1: This is a modification to an existing contract between the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and Linklaters LLP. The scope of the contract is for the provision of legal services regarding legal and commercial matters concerning the Sizewell C project, as well as the role of DESNZ as project sponsor and shareholder. Additional services have become necessary due to extended project timelines. The supplier's services are essential to the achievement of the SZC Final Investment Decision and progression of the programme. The variation is composed of an eight-month extension in time and a 50% extension in value under Regulation 72 (1) (b) and 72 (2) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Original award value: £15,960,000 (excl. VAT). 01/12/2023-30/09/2024. Modification one (Sep-24): £7,980,000 (excl. VAT). 01/12/2023-31/07/2025. Modified contract value: £23,940,000. Modification two (Jul-25): £7,980,000 (exlc. VAT). 01/12/2023-31/03/2026. Modified contract value: £31,920,000.
