Independent Blue Badge Eligibility Assessments Service

Tender description

City of York Council is entering into a procurement exercise to secure a Provider for our Blue Badge Independent Mobility Assessments. As per the Department for Transport’s Guidance, a Local Authority should acquire the services of an independent and professional company to conduct Blue Badge assessments for applicants who require an assessment to determine their eligibility for a Blue Badge. The Provider would be required to conduct an appropriate method of assessment, usually face to face, and provide a detailed report using a robust scoring method, including a summary, and recommendation as to whether a Blue Badge should be issued.
