West Northamptonshire Public Health Funerals

Tender description

West Northamptonshire Council has a duty under the Public Health (Control of Diseases) Act 1984, section 46 to make the funeral arrangements of any person who has died or been found dead in our area where it appears that no suitable arrangements are being made.  West Northamptonshire Council is seeking to engage the sector in helping to shape the contractual arrangements and structure of the its Public Health Funeral Service and has created a questionnaire to support this. This engagement questionnaire covers the following topics: • The length of the contract, • The scope of the service, • The potential for sub-dividing the service by different areas of the Council, • Charging, and • Service accreditation. If you would like to respond to this market engagement exercise and be invited to tender please complete the attached questionnaire and submit your completed version to procurement@westnorthants.gov.uk
