Tackling Antisemitism in Education 2025/28 (Engagement Event)

THIS IS AN INVITATION TO THE ENGAGEMENT EVENT (15/10/2024) The Department intends to publish a new procurement opportunity in November 2024 for one or more prime suppliers to deliver suite of Tackling Antisemitism in Education contracts from 2025 to 2028. The aim of the Tackling Antisemitism in Education programme is to support schools, colleges, and universities to tackle antisemitism effectively by increasing the confidence of teachers and university staff to: •Teach (in schools and colleges) and facilitate discussions related to antisemitism, including regarding the Israel/Palestine conflict. •Recognise and respond to incidents of antisemitism •Develop policies and procedures to tackle antisemitism and promote respect and tolerance. Lot 1: Lot 1 - Scholarships Two scholarship programmes for (i) school and college teachers and staff, and (ii) university administration and student union permanent staff which explores antisemitism in-depth and how it relates to the current experience of antisemitism in England today. Lot 2: Lot 2 - Training and Resources for Universities A programme of training, and resources aimed at: i) university administration including student support; ii) student union permanent and sabbatical staff; and iii) campus security. Lot 3: Lot 3 - Training and resources for Schools & Colleges Online learning resources to be hosted on the Department for Education’s Educate Against Hate portal and to create and deliver training for teachers/staff.
