Tender description

Music Connects Africa’s objective is to contribute to the inclusive economic and social growth of young people, and underrepresented communities through the strengthening of the cultural and creative industries ecosystem with a particular focus on music. This programme provides a unique blend of performances, masterclasses, and networking opportunities designed to nurture talent and offer insights into the music industry. The programme features industry experts who share their expertise and inspire the next generation of creatives. <br /><br />The project has 4 main outcomes: <br />I. to support artistic practice and business skills of young creatives are developed through access to grants, skills development, and digital and showcase market opportunities.<br />II. increased opportunities for joint innovation and collaboration between artists and creative enterprises which will lead to the development of more inclusive and sustainable growth.<br />III. increased income/financial growth through earnings from showcase platforms for art exhibitions, performances, pop-up markets.<br />IV. creatives and creative hubs (organisations/collectives) have improved confidence and competence to participate in the sector and overcome barriers.<br /><br />The project will be delivered through our Creative Hustles project component, which includes three main strands:<br />I. masterclass session with industry professionals<br />II. pop-up market (curated to meet context and audiences) and <br />III. showcasing <br />
