Recycling Collection Services - Textiles/Shoes

Tender description

Renfrewshire Council has a requirement for the processing / recycling / disposal of Textiles. Textiles and shoes will come mainly from textile banks at bring sites or HWRCs under the control of the Council or from requests from householders for an “on demand” collection service. This service will be provided free of charge to both the householder requesting an uplift and the Council. The successful tenderer must work with the Council to create a dedicated call line for Renfrewshire residents to make requests for the uplift of textiles and shoes. The materials will be a mix of clothes, and other household materials such as belts, blankets, curtains, handbags, paired shoes, sheets, towels. The Council will consider other materials which may be incorporated into the service – e.g., bric-a-brac. Lot 1: This procurement exercise has been tendered as a mini competition under Lot 9 Treatment of Textiles of the Scotland Excel Framework Agreement for Recyclable and Residual Waste (Ref 27-17).
