Low vision services: The aim of the service is to enable people with loss of vision to regain or maintain as much independence and autonomy as possible. The overall objective is to enable people with sight loss to make maximum and best use of their remaining eyesight and visual function. This is a, activity based contract. The contract expenditure for 2023/24 was £2,581. This notice is for a Direct Award C PSR process to commence from the 23rd of October 2024 to 31/12/2025 bringing the lifetime value of the contract to the value of c. £3,226. Under the test for considerable change this is within the permitted criteria (not exceeding £500,000 and 25%). Lot 1: Description of the services to be provided: The service offers additional support to patients who have accessed Ophthalmology and require some additional support with low vision aids, to patients with non-complex needs that can be assessed and supported with the necessary aids in a community setting. The ICB is intending to award a contract to an existing provider following direct award process C, where the existing provider is satisfying the existing contract and will likely satisfy the proposed new contract, and the contract is not changing considerably. Anticipated spend is activity based. The contract expenditure for 2023/24 was £2,581.00. Based on this, the anticipated lifetime value of the contract to the value of c. £3,226 (not exceeding £500,000 and 25%) and is therefore permitted. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is £3,226 The dates between which the services are intended to be provided are: 23/10/2024 to 31/12/2025.
