Dumfries and Galloway Council has a legal statutory duty under Part II of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987 – Homelessness Provisions (as amended, substituted or supplemented from time to time) to provide temporary accommodation to people who are homeless. This opportunity is for the provision of self-contained suitable accommodation with housing support within the Dumfries & Galloway Region to enable the Purchaser to provide interim accommodation for adults (16+) experiencing homelessness and requiring access to support services to assist them in sustaining temporary accommodation and in the move on to more permanent accommodation. There will also be a requirement to provide a unit of accommodation for the purposes of providing out of hours emergency accommodation for those persons presenting as homeless out with normal office hours (i.e. 9am to 5pm Monday – Friday). Lot 1: Homeless Temporary Accommodation with Support and Emergency Accommodation Provision (East) Core and Cluster Housing with Housing Support - Dumfries and Annan Dumfries and Galloway Council require self-contained suitable accommodation with support within Dumfries and Annan to enable Dumfries and Galloway Council to provide interim accommodation for adults experiencing homelessness and requiring access to support services. The Provider will also be required to provide out of hours emergency accommodation.. Providers will be required to have a proven track record in delivering similar services and be able to provide accommodation in the required areas of the region within Dumfries and Galloway. Lot 2: Homeless Temporary Accommodation with Support and Emergency Accommodation Provision (West) Stranraer: Dumfries and Galloway Council are seeking to contract housing support within Council owned and leased self-contained suitable accommodation within Stranraer to enable the Purchaser to provide interim accommodation for adults experiencing homelessness and requiring access to support services.. Providers will be required to have a proven track record in delivering similar services and be able to provide accommodation in the required areas of the region within Dumfries and Galloway. Lot 3: Dispersed Homeless Temporary Accommodation with Specialist Housing Support (East) Dispersed: Dumfries and Galloway Council require self-contained suitable accommodation with support within Dumfries and Galloway to enable Dumfries and Galloway Council to provide interim accommodation for adults experiencing homelessness and requiring access to support services..
