Tender description

The Supply and Installation of New Roofs and Solar Panels Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of the supply and installation of new roofs and solar panels. Project Description Swindon Borough Council [SBC] has a housing stock of around 10,500 homes, which it manages in the capacity of a social landlord. It consists of a range of different dwellings and also includes high and medium rise blocks, sheltered and other types of housing schemes and construction types, which includes sheltered and non-sheltered housing units A contract for the replacement of roofs and installation of solar panels is to be awarded for a term of up to five years and the successful contractor will undertake planned programmes of work using a JCT Measured Term Contract. The initial contract term will be for 36 months with an option to extend for a further 24 months (1 periods of 24 months) for a potential total contract term of 5 years as stated in the ITT documents. Estimated contract spend is between £4,250,000.00 and £4,500,000.00 across the initial 3 year contract term and between £7,000,000.00 across the potential total 5 year contract term.
