WOW – Women of the World is a festival in the UK which celebrates women and girls and looks at the obstacles that stop them from achieving their full potential. WOW is a public event featuring talks, debates, discussions, music and theatre performances, film screenings and creative installations, workshops, panel discussions and mentoring opportunities. The British Council’s (Arts) is organising WOW (Women of the World) festival which, as part of the global movement of festivals will be held this year in Lahore Our ambition is to recreate the excitement and energy of WOW in Karachi bringing together leading Women from the country and region for a full-scale festival to celebrate the achievements of Women.
