Building Dynamic Simulation Models (DSM) and Energy Performance Analytics

This is a voluntary ex ante transparency (VEAT) notice. The University of Edinburgh is intending to enter into a contract with Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES). The contract will be for two years with an option to extend a further three years in total. Lot 1: Following extensive research, it was deemed that IES are the only supplier currently in the market with the range of software, modelling tools and technical expertise able to provide the University an integrated approach to advanced building systems data collection, performance analytics, Building Management System (BMS) diagnostics, and dynamic simulation modelling. The University has a specific requirement to utilise a wide range of digital models (building compliance, EPBD, dynamic simulation models) which can be calibrated with our operational data sets (BMS, utility metering, and space utilization) and integrated with existing building performance analytics programmes, and effectively integrated into an enterprise level ‘digital twin’. This does not preclude the use of other bespoke software or services.. The University intends to award a two year contract with the option to extend by a further three years in total. The forecast contract value is for five years and includes the three annual extensions.
