UK Research Companies on TNE Landscape Analysis in Algeria

Tender description

The British Council is seeking to contract a research agency as the British Council is conducting research to explore the TNE landscape in Algeria with a view to better understanding the opportunities and barriers facing partnership development between UK and Algerian higher education institutions. The research will consist of a combination of desk-based research and different types of interviews with key stakeholders in Algeria and the UK which serve the major pointers cited below:<br />Desk research covering the status of Algeria’s international higher education sector, focusing particularly on TNE – including joint/double degree programmes, franchising or validation of degrees and credit transfer agreements, as well as branch campuses. <br />Interviews with relevant government officials, to understand the international education / TNE regulatory and policy environment including future plans. <br />Interviews with Algeria and UK universities to better understand TNE opportunities and challenges in partnering. <br />Key research topics include current policies related to TNE, including permitted types of partnerships and relevant regulations or approval procedures; government support for TNE partnerships; the scale and format of current TNE activity (both with the UK and with other partner countries); student attitudes towards study in the UK and potential student demand for UK TNE programmes delivered/ to be delivered in Algeria; and university attitudes towards future TNE cooperation.<br />
