Tender description

The current food and garden waste disposal contract was awarded to East London Biogas Ltd (ELBL) in April 2022. The contract was for 3 years with an extension of a further 2 years at the Council’s discretion. The current contract is due to expire on April 1st, 2025, without the additional 2-year extension. This report recommends that the current contract be ended on the 21st February 2025 and that the food and garden waste be split into 2 separate contracts and directly awarded to 2 different disposal and treatment contractors
