Dumfries and Galloway Council are looking for interested organisations to provide a high-quality housing and support service for women and children who are or have been subject to domestic abuse and/or coercive control. The main purpose of this support is to provide counselling, advice and housing support which is flexible to assist service users to access permanent safe accommodation whilst supporting them to sustain a tenancy over the long term. Dumfries and Galloway Council would be looking for examples to show 5 years experience delivering similar services. Lot 2: Housing with Support for Women & Children subject to Domestic Abuse or Coercive Control - Stranraer/Newton Stewart Dumfries and Galloway Council are seeking a provider to provide Housing with support for women and children who have been/are subject to domestic abuse and/or coercive control in Stranraer / Newton Stewart area(s) of Dumfries and Galloway region. It is recognised that early and effective intervention can reduce and prevent violence and maximise the safety and wellbeing of women, children and young people. This contract is for a specialist resource which can provide safe accommodation, advocacy, outreach, housing support , emotional support, practical advice and information to women, children and young people as well as awareness raising and training. The support aims to achieve the following: -Women and children are safe and can protect themselves from domestic abuse -Women are able to manage their own and their children’s health and wellbeing -Women and children are in good quality accommodation which meets their needs -Women are able to take control of decisions affecting their lives and feel confident and positive -Women have the necessary skills to maintain permanent accommodation -Women have developed a good support network within their own community -Women have the necessary skills for education, training and employment -Increase in understanding of the issues around domestic abuse and coercive control and reduction of associated stigma. Lot 3: Outreach Housing Support for Women & Children subject to Domestic Abuse or Coercive Control - Nithsdale, Annandale & Stewartry Dumfries and Galloway Council are seeking a provider to provide Outreach housing support for women and children who are/have been subject to domestic abuse and/or coercive control in Nithsdale, Annandale & Stewartry. It is recognised that early and effective intervention can reduce and prevent violence and maximise the safety and wellbeing of women, children and young people. This contract is for a specialist resource which can provide safe accommodation, advocacy, outreach, housing support , emotional support, practical advice and information to women, children and young people as well as awareness raising and training.
