Bridelway resurfacing

Tender description

Oxfordshire County Council has a requirement for a c2km surfacing project along an existing public right of way (bridleway status). It will eventually form part of a longer route between Bicester and Heyford Park and may also have second phase surfacing works in a few years’ time. This tender is divided into two Lots as shown below. Bidders can apply for one or both Lots. Both Lots cover one section of bridleway but there is a section in the bridleway which is out of scope. Therefore, each section either side of the out-of-scope area is a Lot. Lot 1 - Bridleway 109/27/20 Ardley ERF Lot 2 - Bridleway 148/6/20 & 148/6/10 Trow Pools Bidders who are interested in applying for this tender (for either or both Lots) should arrange a site visit with the Countryside Access Officer. Requests for visits should be submitted using the messaging function within the Procurement Portal (Southeast Business Portal). Full directions can be provided by Oxfordshire County Council upon confirmation of the site visit appointment. Tenders submitted without having a site visit cannot be considered. Site visits can be arranged on the below dates, each visit can take up to an hour between both sites Thursday 12th of September between 9-12pm Wednesday 18th between 9 and 3pm Tenderers are invited to tender for the provision of the Services described at Appendix 1 Specification for an anticipated term of 6 weeks, with an option for the Council to extend for up to 2 weeks, if needed, to allow for any stoppages caused by protected species law.
