A57 Concrete Piling

Tender description

To carry out concrete piling works at 3 locations which will be used for road structures for the completed project as per the design drawings and schedules provided by Balfour Beatty in collaboration with Atkins. The subcontractor is to supply all necessary management, supervision, labour, plant, materials and temporary works for the concrete (bored) piling on the A57 Link Road Scheme at Roe Cross Bridge, Mottram Underpass and River Etherow. This will comprise but not limited to the establishment of piling plant for bored cast-in-place piles, intersite movements of piling plant, cast-in-place vertical bored piles, steel bar cage reinforcements, establishment of proof loading equipment, proof loading of vertical bored piles, integrity testing of vertical bored piles. The Subcontractor is also to be responsible for any guide wall(s) for the bored piling at the Mottram underpass.
