High speed & ultra Centrifuges, rotors and services

Tender description

The MHRA science labs located at the South Mimms site and the organisation have numerous floor standing Ultracentrifuges and high speed centrifuges from a single manufacturer across the site. The Ultracentrifuges are used flexibly for a range of laboratory techniques including the purification of viruses, or the extraction of viral/bacterial nucleic acid. Around half of the ultracentrifuges are used in high containment areas.<br/><br/>The various rotors used are compatible across the range of centrifuges and it is required that there shall be no loss of service as and when new centrifuges are installed.<br/><br/>The restricted tender shall consist of 3 lots as described below.<br/>i) Supply, install and provide training for floor standing laboratory centrifuges from the same manufacturer, upto ultra performance speeds. <br/>ii) During the transition phase to provide own rotors and Beckman Coulter rotors (or compatible equivalents), that are necessary to allow MHRA to continue to operate efficiently.<br/>iii) Provide ongoing maintenance, calibration and certification services for MHRA’s entire fleet of centrifuges.<br/><br/>Tenderers who have the capability are invited to Express their Interest in the first instance by registering and replying to this PIN. Lot Lot 1, 2 & 3: 1. Qualification Envelope A restricted lotted tender to select the following:<br/>i) Supply and install floor standing laboratory centrifuges from the same manufacturer, upto ultra performance speeds. <br/>ii) During the transition phase to provide own rotors and Beckman Coulter rotors (or compatible equivalents), that are necessary to allow MHRA to continue to operate efficiently.<br/>iii) Provide ongoing maintenance, calibration and certification services for MHRA’s entire fleet of centrifuges. Lot 1: 5. Lot 1 Centrifuges Supply and install floor standing laboratory centrifuges from the same manufacturer, upto ultra performance speeds. Lot 2: 6. Lot 2 Rotors During the transition phase, Supplier to provide own rotors and Beckman Coulter rotors (or compatible equivalents), that will allow MHRA to continue to operate efficiently. Lot 3: 7: Lot 3 Maintenance Services Provide ongoing maintenance, calibration and certification services for MHRA’s entire fleet of centrifuges.
