Canvas Implementation – HTML LTI Solution - Request for Information

The University of Manchester (UoM) is currently implementing Canvas as their Central Learning Environment system to replace our incumbent solution Blackboard Learn. <br /><br />Some areas of the University currently present the majority of their learning materials as bespoke HTML documents hosted on Blackboard. This allows fine control over structure, navigation and content, and allows interactivity to be incorporated inline using JavaScript, to support active learning.<br /><br />Instructure do not recommend or support hosting and linking to HTML documents in the way Blackboard supports. It is possible to upload a HTML document in Canvas, but presentation is limited to a preview of the content; you can’t access and link to a ‘clean’ version of a hosted HTML page or website in a supported way.<br /><br />We therefore need to determine how to migrate our more structured and interactive materials over to Canvas.<br />
