Tender description

This service relates to the provision of a Community Dermatology Service. The expected outcomes required of the service are specified below: • Efficient outpatient service to be delivered for general dermatology cases to result in a reduction in patients being seen in secondary care. • Timely access to assessment and treatment for those patients with skin conditions who can be managed in the community with fewer patients waiting to be seen. • Workforce is trained and supported sufficiently to deliver a quality service, including a supported primary care workforce. • Patient experience of the service will be very good. • Community service is delivered in a safe manner and adheres to all quality standards. • Community Service is delivered in a cost-effective manner. Aims: • To provide patients with equitable access to a community-based, dermatology service that gives timely advice, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for their skin condition. • To improve patients knowledge and ability to self-care, including through the promotion of skin health and prevention of disease. Lot 1: NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board (GM ICB) is currently developing their service specification and contracting process for the Provision Community Dermatology Service. This Market Engagement Questionnaire seeks the views and opinions of stakeholders and organisations that may be interested in delivering the Service with an estimated start date of April 2025. This exercise and any subsequent responses are in no way legally binding on any party. Participation in the engagement exercise is not a mandatory requirement for participating in any potential future procurement; however, responses received will assist to inform GM ICB as to the level of interest from the market and may be used to evidence the most appropriate procurement route. The Market Engagement Questionnaire (MEQ) and current draft Service Specification can be downloaded from the SAP Ariba Portal reference Doc2135256966 at the below link: https://discovery.ariba.com/rfx/20657513 Please return your completed MEQ through the SAP Ariba Portal by 12noon, 10 September 2024. Additional information: The Provision of GM ICB Community Dermatology Services described in this questionnaire and the draft specification, relates to GM ICB's intention to establish a contract agreement for up to 3 years with the possibility of an option to extend, at the Relevant Authority's discretion, for an additional two year with an indicative overall total contract value of up to £27,852,903 for the 3 years of contract and £18,569,806 for the two-year extension, up to a total estimated value of £46,422,709. National tariff will not be applicable, the prices are based on local prices across the GM system and further information can be viewed in the MEQ.
