NCC1356 Occupational Health and Wellbeing Provision Soft Market Questionnaire

Tender description

Northumberland County Council is a large local authority in geographical size in England with a mix of rural areas and conurbations. NCC has approx. 5000 directly employed employees and responsibility to approximately 4000 employees in schools although they are self-governing and can opt in to the authority for People support including Occupational Health. The Council is seeking views from the market in relation to Occupation Health provision in preparation for renewing its service for employees. Please note that responding to this questionnaire does not affect participation in any future contract opportunity and failure to respond to this will not preclude any organisation from responding to the tender process. Lot 1: The current occupational health and wellbeing service covers; • Physician and nurse led services depending upon referral. • Psychology services, including provision of therapy, normally up to 6 sessions. • Physiotherapy services • Pre employment screening and medicals • Health surveillances such as HAVS, Audiometry/Spirometry • Needs based training and awareness for managers particularly around mental health. The successful future Provider will also be required to provide professional advice and guidance on medical health issues, mental health, physiotherapy, health monitoring and pre-employment health assessments to enable the council to support employees to fulfil their role and responsibilities.
