Domestic Asbestos Surveys and Testing

Cheshire East Council is delivering a disability adaptations scheme, where we provide grants to disabled residents to adapt their homes for independent living. Typical adaptations include stair lifts, wet rooms, ramps, wheelchair-accessible doorways, and extensions. As part of our Designer responsibilities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, we need to know if there are any Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) in the areas of the property to be disturbed. Therefore, Cheshire East Council are looking to appoint a contractor to carry our Asbestos Surveys & Testing. The period of the contract will be 24 months, with an option to extend for a further 12 months. The values given in this notice are only estimations and take into account the options to extend - the Council gives no guarantee or warranty or makes any representation as to the accuracy of any indicative values.
