Provision of Pool Cars

Tender description

The Council, as part of its Travel Plan currently has a contract in place for a pool of cars that can be used by staff with the aim of reducing congestion and climate change through the reduction in usage of private vehicles for business use. The Council requires a new contract to continue the provision which has been in place since 2016. A subset of these vehicles must be available to the public as car club vehicles when not needed by the Council during the out of hours periods. In addition to this, the council requires the contract to enable provision of vehicles as predominantly car club vehicles (and part time pool cars) such as when grant funding is available for that purpose.
