University Hospitals Birmingham Water Testing of Decontamination Units

Tender description

The Trust is looking to formally award a contract for the testing of weekly water samples for its 4 Decontamination units at UHB which are responsible for providing a service to endoscopy clinics. The tenderer shall be responsible for the pickup of samples from the site at a pre-determined time and ensuring the transport is appropriately time and temperature controlled. Samples which fail to arrive at the laboratory outside of the recommended time and temperature may still be tested but will not be paid for and a retest will be arranged by the laboratory at their own expense. The provision of sample bottles shall be included in the price. The laboratory selected must have and evidence in the tender return UKAS accreditation for the service and tests provided.
