Project Groundwater - Placemaking : Planning

Tender description

The aims of the Placemaking workstream as set out by Project Groundwater are: • Strengthen understanding of how nature-based solutions (NBS) can remain operational during periods of high groundwater, and promote aquifer recharge / water quality benefits • Develop ideas from pilot communities for nature-based solutions • Create places which are more resilient to flooding using nature-based solutions which remain operational during periods of high groundwater • Strengthen consideration of groundwater in the planning system • Innovation in nature-based solutions As can be seen from above there are two areas in which the placemaking workstream will be working, nature-based solutions and planning. As a result, there will be 2 separate sub- workstreams, this specification is for the planning workstream, the NBS workstream will be available in a separate tender.
