UCAM 24-022_Provision of a light sheet microscope for the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute

Tender description

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the provision of a light sheet microscope, (also termed Selective Plane Illumination Microscope) and its relative accessories, capable of serving the imaging needs of the Institute, for both large, cleared samples as well as live cell imaging in a wide variety of specimens.<br /><br />The imaging facility serves the imaging needs of not only the Stem Cell Institute, but the Cambridge Institute for Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Disease (CITIID) which houses up to 250 researchers in 25 research groups, and the Milner Therapeutics Institute, also housed at JCBC. We are accessible to users from the wider University of Cambridge community and external users. Our user base has a wide range of imaging needs. <br /><br />The light sheet microscope will enhance our imaging capabilities and improve high speed, large volume imaging, with a view to developing tissue scale imaging capabilities and rapid three-dimensional imaging functionality.<br />
