PIN Notice for Maintenance of Fire Safety Equipment

Tender description

This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) regarding an upcoming tender for the maintenance of fire safety equipment. This includes portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels, hydrants, and related equipment. The current contract for these services will expire in April 2025. THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION. This notice aims to provide advance information to potential suppliers and encourage early engagement with the forthcoming opportunity. The contract will entail the servicing of equipment in almost 600 fixed locations nationwide (including all office accommodation, train stations, sub-stations, manned level crossings, engineering depots, rolling stock fleets, fleet vans, etc) In addition to the 600 locations, the service contract will also cover the IÉ fleet of rolling stock which are located throughout the IÉ network. The management of the service contract involves multiple stakeholders and a large number of separate transactions annually which will require a high degree of contract management to ensure that the contract is executed efficiently. Iarnród Éireann anticipate issuing the RFT in August 2024 with the new contract due to commence in April 2025. As part of the two stage tender process applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to integrating sustainability considerations into their services.
