Procurement of pumps (managing agent to purchase & refurbishment)

Tender description

The procurement will be a multi-lot tender where lot 1 will be awarded to a managing agent to purchase pumps and lot 2 will be the refurbishment of the pumps. The intention is to award a 6-year contract to allow for the whole pump Fleet assets to be refurbished and create long term value for money across a six-year period. Mobile Assets (MA) on behalf of the Environment Agency wishes to establish two national contracts: Lot 1: To award a managing agent / tier 1 supplier for the purchase of all pumps (2” – 36”); including not limited to the auxiliary equipment. This enables flexibility in the assets as the market evolves and moves away from diesel pumps. Lot 2: A single supplier who provides refurbishment services for all EA’s pumps. The need for this new contract is to support a change of strategy and is twofold – lot one is due to is being more financially viable to purchase the pumps that will last up to 20 years (with refurbishment).
