Provider Event - North Northamptonshire Council - Public Health - Sexual Health Services

UPDATED 19.06.24 North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) are pleased to advertise that we will be going out to tender for a new Sexual Health Service (sexual and reproductive/contraceptive health) for North Northamptonshire. Our current service is Countywide (including North and West Northamptonshire). The service from 1st April 2025 will be for North Northamptonshire Council only. North Northamptonshire has a population of 359,525. In 2043, at the end of the ONS population projection, North Northamptonshire is estimated to have a population of 418,215, an increase of 16.3% (n=58,700). In recent years the population has also become increasingly diverse. This market engagement event is focussed on the Sexual Health Services. The event is designed to introduce and discuss our upcoming commissioning opportunities which aim to deliver a comprehensive sexual health service for the population of North Northamptonshire. The comprehensive sexual health service will need to provide prevention, screening, testing and treatment services, to include:- • Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including Chlamydia and blood borne viruses (BBV) • HIV prevention, including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) • Full range of contraceptive provision • Health promotion and prevention activities • Community and outreach services • Services for young people including outreach and community Key Highlights: • Understanding need: Understand the needs within the population and the recommendations as per the sexual health needs assessment. • Service model: Gain insights into the proposed model of sexual health services. • Financial envelope: Understand the financial envelope attached to the service • Questions and Answers: An opportunity to ask questions relating to NNC and the model • Procurement: To understand the procurement process in NNC The sessions will be led by NNC Commissioning and NNC Procurement colleagues to be held on: Date: Thursday 18th July 2024 Venue details: North Northamptonshire Council, Council Chamber, Cedar Drive, Thrapston, Northamptonshire NN14 4LZ Time: 1.00pm - 3.00pm Additional information: We look forward to seeing you at the event.
