Tender description
Project Synopsis: PEMC currently boasts advanced winding capabilities, and we are keen to elevate our operations to encompass complete in-house assembly of electrical machines. To achieve this, we are issuing this tender to procure an automated or semi-automated assembly line. This line will be dedicated to handling the comprehensive assembly process of electrical machines, with a particular focus on the precise fitting of stators into cases and the insertion of rotors. The system must be capable of accommodating both Internal Permanent Magnet (IPM) and Surface Permanent Magnet (SPM) rotors, and it must offer flexibility in the assembly processes to adapt to various specifications and production requirements in the field of automotive and aerospace. Items of Requirement: - Magnet Assembly & Glue Curing - Shaft Insertion - Assembly of endplates / bearings - Rotor Balancing - Magnetisation of Inserted Magnets - Stator Case Fitting and Rotor Insertion Project Objectives: To establish a contract for the Electrical Machine Manufacturing (EMM) requirements and ensure strategic developments such as: - Obtain value for money goods and services. - If necessary, establish a Collaborative Contract that allows multiple sub-contractors to share IP with the intent to deliver the project requirements. - Social Value and Sustainability factored into commercial activities. - Eliminate the risk of Modern-Day Slavery within the supply chain. Estimated Value: The overall budget, including manufacturing, delivery, installation, commissioning, duty, VAT, and import is approximately £5.5 million. Objective of Prequalification Questionnaire: The prequalification questionnaire is set out to review potential supply chains and determine capability of delivering goods prior to releasing the specification and tendering documents. Assessment: Responses will be assessed to determine if they qualify to be invited to submit a Tender. Suppliers who do not meet the full criteria may be asked to elaborate on their responses and provide additional information. Additional information: Is a Recurrent Procurement Type? : No
