PAN3055 - Compact Sweepers and Street Washing Equipment

Tender description

The Council replaces vehicles once they are over 12 years old and are placed on a replacement list. The compact sweepers and street washing equipment now need replacing and the ESPO 215 Specialist Vehicles framework was identified as a route to market. Colleagues in the Planning, Development & Transportation division researched Lot 2 of the framework and identified Aebi Schmidt, awarded under Lot 2, as being able to meet the Council's requirement and demonstrate value for money. A direct award was made under Lot 2 - Compact Sweepers of the ESPO 215 Specialist Vehicles framework, the justification for the award includes: • The Planning, Development & Transportation division have researched the framework and identified Aebi Schmidt has being able to meet the Council's requirement and demonstrate value for money. • Lot 2 under the ESPO Specialist Vehicles framework has been specially established for compact sweepers. • ESPO have effectively pre-qualified Aebi Schmidt as to their general suitability; this means that in buying goods from them, the Council can be assured that they are financially stable and have demonstrated a solid track record of supply to the sector, and an understanding of its needs and that they possess sound policies such as health and safety, sustainability and environmental. • Aebi Schmidt will have a pre-existing understanding of the call-off terms have they already have a relationship with ESPO as a supplier awarded to the Specialist Vehicles framework.
