Tender description

This PIN is for Suppliers to express their interest in a Framework Agreement for Pathology Solutions. This Framework's scope is to become an all-encompassing solution for Pathology needs, including the provision of equipment, analysers, maintenance, reagents, managed services, software, laboratory consumables, automation, and innovative solutions. For clarity, HTE intends to begin market engagement with interested Suppliers in August 2024. Lot 1a: Pathology Equipment (all analysers) Lot 1a will establish a supply for Diagnostic Pathology Equipment. A comprehensive range of diagnostic pathology equipment will be available through this lot which includes but is not limited to laboratory equipment, pathology analysers, equipment reagents, and any other associated equipment, consumables, maintenance and any associated software. Lot 1b: Digital Pathology Equipment This Lot 1b will establish a supply for all digital pathology equipment, including but not limited to Whole Slide Imaging Scanners, workstations, and any other associated equipment, consumables, maintenance and any associated software. Lot 1c: Gross Imaging Lot 1c will establish a supply for all Gross Imaging equipment requirements, including but not limited to imaging systems, stands, any equipment used to capture images on macroscopic specimens and any other associated equipment, consumables, maintenance and any associated software. Lot 1d: POCT Equipment Lot 1d will establish a supply for all Point of Care Testing (POCT) equipment. This is to include but not be limited to blood glucose and ketone analysers, blood gas analysers, rapid diagnostic test kits, drugs of abuse test kits, urinalysis analysers/test kits, coagulation analysers/test kits, HbA1c analysers/test kits, cholesterol test kits, multi test systems, coronavirus test kits, and any other associated equipment, consumables, maintenance and software. Lot 1e: Pathology Automation/Robotics Equipment Lot 1e will establish a supply for laboratory pathology automation and robotics equipment to enhance workflow. This is to include but not be limited to, all levels of automation (full and partial) enhancing workflow on pathology specimen solutions, solutions with none or minimal human interaction on laboratory workflow, automated tracked systems and innovative robotic designs to enhance laboratory workflow i.e. automated phlebotomy robots, automated liquid handling equipment, and any other associated equipment, consumables, maintenance and any associated software. Lot 1f: Pre-Pre-Analytics Lot 1f will establish a supply for pre-pre-analytics through technological innovation. This is to include but not be limited to technologies that address the quality and tracking of samples throughout the pathology pathway, and any other associated equipment, consumables, maintenance and any associated software. Lot 2a: Pathology Managed Service Lot 2a will establish a supply for managed services for all pathology disciplines, which will include but not be limited to provision of, maintenance and replacement of pathology equipment (including enabling works), associated connectivity and the supply of consumables, associated items, chemicals and reagents as a managed service. The pathology disciplines within scope as follows; Digital Pathology, Cellular Pathology, Microbiology, Blood Sciences and POCT. Lot 3a: Digital Pathology End to End Solution Lot 3a will cover provision of the entire digital pathology service and requirements in Participating Authorities transformation to digital workflows. This will include all equipment, software and any additional services or solutions to support with the entire transformation and maintenance. Lot 4a: Digital Pathology Software (Including IMS + Storage) Lot 4a will cover all digital pathology software associated with a digital pathology workflow. This includes but is not limited to, digital image management solutions, image reporting solutions, and analysis, storage and any other associated systems that any Participating Authority may require. Lot 4b: Clinical AI Lot 4b will include but is not limited to the supplier of pathology diagnostic and/or Operational AI tools, algorithms, analytics in existence, or developed in conjunction with a customer. Lot 4c: Image Storage Solutions Lot 4c will include the provision of Image Storage Solutions for pathology laboratories. This includes but is not limited to the software solutions to enable storage, any supporting infrastructure, any security software to protect the solutions. Lot 4d: Patient sample tracking Lot 4d will include the provision of patient sample tracking software throughout the whole pathology patient pathway. This includes but is not limited to, application support for sample tracking, barcode/RFID and tracking technologies. Lot 5a: Blood Collection Lot 5a is for the supply of blood collection consumables, devices and accessories. Lot 5b: Laboratory Consumables Lot 5b will establish a supply of laboratory consumables for all pathology disciplines including Biochemistry, Cellular Pathology, Gross Imaging, Microbiology, Blood Sciences, POCT. This includes all laboratory consumables associated within the pathology service workflow. Lot 5c: Culture Media Lot 5c will establish the supply of Pre-Poured and Bottled Culture Media Products, Services and Associated Consumables. This includes but will not be limited to, chromogenic media, pre-poured and bottles culture media, associated antibiotic susceptibility testing products and consumables. Lot 5d: Reagents and Quality Control Lot 5d will establish the supply of Reagents and QC materials for all scoped pathology disciplines. This will include all reagents and supporting material and/or to allow QC testing for associated equipment.
