Tender description

Operating in Monmouth, a twice weekly social club. The funding supports delivering of social activities for older people including those with a mild/moderate mental health issue such as depression, anxiety, dementia. The provision of this low-level social support service is a key component in supporting people to be engaged, preventing isolation and loneliness and complements the social care strategic aspirations of the Council. The scheme aims to reduce social isolation, provide people with links to their local community and the opportunity to build and develop friendships. Attendees also have the opportunity to purchase a reasonably priced lunchtime meal. Access to the venue needs to be considered with good community transport available, and consideration given for providing access to chargeable transport options.
