At the start of the pandemic in March 2020 there was an urgent requirement to enable effective home working for over 7,000 users. BCIS colleagues engaged with Zoom Video Communications Inc. to purchase 300 corporate licenses to allocate to service areas. The free of charge licensing model was taken up by many users directly with Zoom but the corporate licenses enabled greater functionality, including non-time limited video conferencing. At the time, Zoom was the standard and accepted provider both nationally and globally. The award is approved , decision taken by the Officer with the delegated authority
