TD2070 - Daily inter-library van delivery/collection service transporting books, equipment, furniture etc

Tender description

Derby City Council (the Council) is seeking to appoint a single provider for the provision of a libraries van delivery service within the boundary of Derby City. The Service Provider will be responsible for providing an inter-library van delivery / collection service, transporting books, equipment, consumables, and furniture between each of the libraries and the Council House. Occasionally, deposit collections of books and items, also need to be circulated between various residential homes, schools and other cultural organisations and the Blagreaves library within the city boundary. Service Providers should provide a van to transport items in a safe and secure manner. There are 16 library locations across the city comprising of: The central sorting point at the Acquisitions Unit within Blagreaves library. 14 other libraries in the network Libraries headquarters located at the Council House Items to be transported between these library locations, and between library locations and other ad hoc points around the city include, but are not limited to: books, post, and leaflets 'Bulky' items include small items of furniture and equipment (for example office size chairs, laptops and data projectors) The deadline for returns is 14:00 on 29th January 2024.
