Summer Holiday (2024) Activities with Healthy Food for Children in Receipt of Benefits-related Free School Meals

The Council wishes to seek multiple Providers to deliver Summer Holiday Activities with Healthy Food for Children in Receipt of Benefits-related Free School Meals within the boundaries of County Durham.\r \r All providers must meet the required DfE framework of standards.\r \r There are two sources of funding available for Fun and Food Summer programme 2024:\r \r 1) DfE funding is for school aged children in receipt of benefits related free school meals - anticipated budget is £1,000,000\r \r 2) Durham County Council funding is for school aged children not eligible for DfE funded places but who have been identified as having other vulnerabilities identified (see below) - anticipated budget is £175,000\r \r There may be an opportunity that successful Providers' contracts may be extended to cover delivery in the Christmas school holiday period. At the sole discretion of the Council, providers will be identified and approached for Christmas delivery, this is likely to be dependent on successful achievement from the Summer 2024 delivery and Commissioners professional judgement.\r Additional information: Tender documents can be accessed free of charge at www.nepo.org using reference DN721332
