PAN3011 - BME Specialist Safe Accommodation Counselling Services

Tender description

Leicester City Council invites Tenders for the provision of Specialist Black and Minoritised Ethnic Communities (BME) Second Stage Accommodation and Counselling Support for those in Safe Accommodation in Leicester. The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 introduced new responsibilities for local authorities around the safe accommodation of victims of domestic abuse. Leicester City Council commissions a range of services to meet the local need for safe accommodation, amongst which this service will sit. The Domestic Abuse Locality Partnership Board has published a Domestic abuse safe accommodation strategy (leicester.gov.uk). Second Stage accommodation and specialist counselling forms a key part of the city offer. Additional wraparound support services linked to other areas of specialist need, will be accessible to this service. The domestic abuse BME second stage safe accommodation must be sole purpose with appropriately trained and experienced staff. This service must provide a minimum seven units of single sex (predominantly if multiple locations or wholly female if one location) second stage accommodation in Leicester City in line with the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) requirements and statutory guidance.
