Local Authority Treescapes Fund Miyawaki Forest Project - Expression of Interest

Tender description

The primary aim of this Expression of Interest includes an invitation to interested bidders to review and feedback any clarifications on the Council's requirement for this commission. Providers may seek clarification regarding any aspect of the Council's requirements as outlined below: • The Council requires a company to lead on the application to the Local Authority Treescapes Fund for the delivery of circa five Miyawaki Forest projects across the borough. It should be noted that the appointment of the company to undertake the remaining services is subject to funding successfully being secured. If the application is unsuccessful, no payment will be made. • Support the Council in selecting sites suitable for Miyawaki Forest projects. • Undertake site identification, preparation, and forest planning for each of the selected sites. • Undertake landscaping and preparatory works, including ground preparation and excavation, and purchasing of all necessary equipment and material. • Source tree stock and furniture (benches etc.) required for project. • Lead on community engagement programmes including volunteer planting, training for Tree Keepers and provide ongoing management and support for community volunteers. Additional information: The Council is only seeking expressions of interest at this time.
