SSA_RWA_Supply of 4G internet connections for use by teachers for professional development

Tender description

The Secondary Teachers English Language Improvement Rwanda (STELIR) project is delivered in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation and implemented by British Council in partnership with Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB). STELIR aims to improve the English language proficiency of Lower Secondary Teachers in the Rwandan state education system to at least intermediate level, working with 6,000 in-service teachers across 14 districts, plus 1,000 Pre-Service teachers in training at the University of Rwanda College of Education (URCE), with the ultimate goal of improving learning opportunities for lower secondary pupils.<br /><br />This requirement is for a single supplier to provide 4G Sim cards with data bundles for in-service and pre-service teachers studying STELIR courses. The contract issued will be a framework contract and will cover a range of data bundle options which the British Council will select from according to need. It is expected that during the contract lifetime up to a maximum of 6,500 Sim cards may be issued (up to a maximum of 4,000-5,000 within the first 12 months of the contract and a further maximum of 1,000 – 2,000 in the final 6 months).<br />
