Tender description
The Authority requires a suitably experienced Contractor to provide the refurbishment of one scenic lift in the Segedunum Museum in Wallsend, North Tyneside. As part of the Vertical Transportation strategy, the existing Tower scenic lift with a single-entry configuration, having a capacity of 1000 kg/10 persons serving 4 floors designated as 1, 2, 4, and 9 will be refurbished. Optional costs for the following are required: • Evacuation functionality. The works described in this specification comprise but are not limited to: The design, manufacture, delivery, refurbishment, testing, and commissioning of one existing conventional traction lift, having a capacity of 1000 kg/10 persons to comply with all relevant EN-81 standards. Further and more comprehensive information can be found in the Tender Pack once suppliers have registered an interest in this opportunity. Note - The items that require refurbishment are within the specification Item 20 on pages 4 – 8. Tenderers do not need to complete any of the pages in the Specification document (1040100 – Segedunum Tower Lift) as these have been included by Cundall but do not need to be completed as part of the tender return.
