This market sounding exercise is being undertaken by Leeds Building Services (LBS) as part of Leeds City Council (LCC) to obtain the views of potential contractors to help with the procurement process and proposed strategy. This market sounding exercise does not form part of any formal procurement process. Any information received will be treated in strictest of confidence and will not be made available to bidders once the tendering process has begun. This document provides background information for the project with a number of questions designed to help decipher: • Your appetite for whether or not your organisation would like to be considered for the project over the next 4 years with a possibility the contract may be extended for a further 4 x 12 months. • Your observations regarding the potential work and strategy • Your views on any issues with respect of providing the specialist works and your solution Leeds Building Services (LBS) on behalf of Leeds City Council are looking for two contractors to undertake the maintenance, responsive repairs and refurbishment of drains for housing. Currently the Council has existing contractors in place to deliver this works. It is anticipated that the procurement will consist of two separate Lots; Lot 1 - Housing – East (Number of properties: 16,978) (Estimated number of repairs 4,000-4,500 per year) Lot 2 - Housing – South (Number of properties:14,597) (Estimated number of repairs 2,000-2,500 per year) The drainage repairs for housing in the west will be delivered as part of the responsive repair, voids & cyclical maintenance contract currently out to tender, to be managed by Housing Leeds.
