Tender description

The primary aim of the service is to ensure people can access urgent eyecare within primary care, utilising the established trained workforce in optical practices. The Community Urgent Eyecare Service may typically provide treatment for people presenting with a red or painful eye, foreign body, sudden change in vision, or flashes and floaters which might suggest retinal detachment, who would otherwise present to General Practice, Hospital Eye Services (HES) or A&E. NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB is intending to award a contract an existing provider following direct award process C of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. Approximate lifetime value of the contract is £118,802.
