<br />Background<br />• The London Borough of Croydon (LBC) needs to identify opportunities for using digital, data and technology services to deliver substantial financial savings and customer facing efficiencies. This objective is stated clearly in Outcome 1 of the Mayor’s Business Plan, “Getting our finances right,” by “[making] services more efficient and [seeking] to get value for money from every penny of taxpayers’ money we spend.”<br />• The Council has committed to “getting a grip on the finances” as a top priority, by the “redesign (of) services to improve efficiency and enhance residents’ experience” delivering financially sustainability<br />Requirement <br />• The Council is seeking support from an independent consultancy, who can demonstrate in-depth, local authority knowledge and experience to conduct a discovery exercise in order to create the business case to confirm potential savings and the viability of a solution that would meet the needs of the council. <br />
